The picture above has gone viral. It features Federal Judge Sérgio Moro, the man behind the largest corruption investigation in Brazil’s history, and Senator Aécio Neves – who’s being investigated for, well, corruption. It sums up a bit what’s wrong with Brazilian politics.
They are both in an award ceremony during which President Michel Temer was named “Brazilian of the Year.” That is, even after naming an all-white, all-male cabinet filled with men facing charges of corruption.
Temer also faces an impeachment process of his own. This is Brazil’s man of the year?
