Specialised tourist cruise firm Infinity Brazil is offering job opportunities aboard its ships. The firm is hiring 450 new employees, with salaries beginning at $500, for its 2017 season.
Infinity Brazil is one of Latin America’s largest cruise ship recruitment firms. This week, it announced that it is opening vacancies for professionals with a range of different skill sets. There are opportunities for cleaners, maids, waiters, cooks and room service professionals among the vacancies.
The firm is also looking to hire specialized professionals with technical skills. In addition, Infinity Brazil is looking for light, sound and stage technicians, photographers and salespeople. There are also opportunities for children and adult entertainers, and for sports instructors.
Applicants for all roles must be a minimum of 21 years of age, and must have an advanced level of English. There are also some positions for those with intermediate English levels.
The recruitment firm serves several of the world’s biggest tourist cruise companies. Those selected could find themselves aboard ships with Royal Caribbean, Costa Crociere, Pullmantur Cruises Azamara Cruises or Celebrity Cruises.
The firm also works with Norwegian Cruise Lines, Crystal Cruises, Club Med. Last year, the firm managed to add Oceania Cruises to its client list. Many of the firms served by Infinity Brazil specialize in luxury transatlantic cruises.
Salaries begin at $500 and go up to $2,800 US dollars. Candidates must be available to work on-board for eight months.
The first round of selections will be made via online applications, available now. Infinity Brazil will then select candidates with the desired profiles, and conduct primary interviews over Skype.
HR personnel and the ship’s crew will then invite successful candidates to in-person interviews, which they will conduct in English. Infinity Brazil’s head offices are in Santos, which is in São Paulo state and is one of the continent’s biggest ports.
Applications for positions with Infinity Brazil are notoriously competitive. Last year, the average number of candidates applying quadrupled, with an average of 400 applicants registering for positions via the firm’s site every day.
